how can i make a non-slip floor?

we recently made a spare room in our basement the workout room. we installed dupont pergo style floors (look like hardwoods, but made out of laminant). i am finding 2 problems with this flooring. for one, it is HARD! even though we but cushion down underneath it seems hard on the feet to be jumping around much. second, i can’t get my yoga mat to stick to the floor at all- it just slides around all over the place and i am scared to really stretch out bd i am afraid i might slip. i bought those intelocking floor pads at target- spent 100 bucks for a large square and they help with both problems but i feel they still slip on the floor a little bit. how do i get around this? i thought pergo would have been a good choice for a workout room.

You can hole punch your corners of the yoga mat and use suction cups to hold onto the floor, that way it does not damage your floor. I would invest in Foam tiles that interlock so you have a soft landing for your excercising. We have these special high density foam tiles in our gymnastics academy.
