handstand yoga

need your valuable suggestion…….exercise problem!?
okay,i am a 21 year old girl.i am fond of yoga. recently i started doin some tough exercises. i practiced headstand n learned it in about a month,but the PROBLEM is that my periods got delayed..i find headstand very beneficial to my body n now i am goin to practice handstand.but i cannot because i have been experiencing irregular periods for 2 months which were regular previously.as i am a peson who normally stays outside for coaching and training,i do not want any irregularity. i am also interested in capoeira.
please let me know if there is any way around so that i can do these kind of exercises without irregularity in ma periods.

I did a google search and a few medical websites describe this as natural for many women who suddenly increase their amount of exercise. I would recommend that you set up an exercise schedule: like on your calendar or date book. I recommend three times a week to begin. The web sites I looked at stated that when your body adjusts to the amount of exercise your periods will balance out again, so setting up a schedule that is the same every week will help you adjust. Don’t forget to takes breaks at least every 30 minutes and at most every 5, and drink water. If you pace yourself and are safe you should be regular again. Another option is to ask this question again in the women’s health category, I’m sure some women there have had this same problem.
