Is yoga a good exercise to lose weight and tone up, along with light weightlifting?
I think it is. I started practicing yoga about a year ago and it really made me stronger. It acts like strength training because you’re using your body for resistance. There are different types of yoga. If you’re looking for more of a cardio work out, try an Ashtanga class. If you’re new to it try a Hatha class or a beginner class. Don’t “jump into” more than you can handle. It’s easy to think that you’re ready for the more than you actually are and might end up hurting yourself. You might want to add some cardio in as well…even if it’s just walking. I love yoga. Good luck
